DVD tech help - RUSH
#1

The new Rush album is going to come out on May 1 but an enhanced DVD-album disc is coming out May 22. According to Amazon it's an MVI disc that will play on dvd players/computers/games consoles but DOESN"T play on a cd player. Confusedcratch: I want to buy this but don't want to buy this version and the audio version.
Has anyone ever got one of these types of discs or run into it before?

you could probably rip the tracks to your computer than convert them to.wma or.mp3 if nessesary and burn them to a blank cd. But i never seen a MVI disc before. Even if you can't rip the tracks casue they are part of a video or something you could rip the video off then get a program to separate the audio from video (you should be able to find one by searching on torrent sites) then convert that audio part to something burnable...

Rip and burn, that's the way. But not to wma or MP3 as those are lossy. Rip it to uncompressed WAV or AIFF and then burn it to a CD.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's the way to do it. Only really uses cd's in the car and not that much anymore w/the Sirius. At home I keep most my music on the computer and run it through a system. Seems kinda dumb to sell a cd that won't work on cd players. oh well. Thanks for the help.
