[Hard Canadian]

I don't know if anyone has posted something about this show before but i've just gotten into it recently and i have to say, what a great show. for anyone who hasn't seen it, or for hipbasers from the US/UK it's pretyt much a talk show about current events. The host is George Stroumboulopoulos (yes, thats his real last name).

Also, visit the hour's page on the cbc page and watch some of the 'best story ever' clips, they are pretty funny, especially the dee snider one.

i think Stroumboulopoulos is a nice guy, but i can't stand how neverendingly left-wing the guy is, and how he biases his entire show towards it. a little more impartiality wouldn't kill him (or the CBC in general, for that matter).

George is great, and I love his show. His "neverendingly left-wing" political opinions don't bother me in the least, because for the most part I completely agree with him.

I've mentioned this before, but I think George would make a great Governor General down the line. He certainly fits the mold of our current and predecessing GG...aside from the fact he's a dude of course.

I don't think being a GG would be very fulfilling for George... he seems to be too outspoken and motivated to be just a 'figurehead'.

ive recently just got into this show aswell. within the past 2 months id say. the best interview ive seen so far is Mohamed Al Fayed. I like this one cause he is so blunt and honest, which i find is rare in most interviewee's these days.

i just find george lacks a sense of humour. i mean, he tries (italics!) to be funny, fine. but he seems to lack a sense of silliness, of ha ha. have a beer, chillax etc ...

I feel like one of these days one of his guests is going to just come out and say, "GEEZ, MAN, BACK OFF AND GIVE ME SOME SPACE!" Snuffleupagus sure likes to get up close and personal with the people he's interviewing.
