Cufk!! I've been summoned to court on Aug. 29th, the friday before the long weekend for Jury selection!! Damn criminals using up my time.
Anyone ever been through the whole jury selection process? Anyone been selected? I don't think I can get out of it either. I hope it's at least interesting.

I know my Mom got summoned a few years ago, she got out of it becuase my Dad is a Cop.

read up on the case and when they interview you give a biased opinion, one of the two sides should veto you, if they don't...well...

I wish I could. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing what the case might be. Apparently there is a pool of prospective jurors such as myself that are called in and then the two sides pick the actual jury out of the pool.
From what I hear, odds are I won't be selected. My friend went last year for selection and he said that there were around a160 of them there and they picked 12. Here's hoping they don't like me. :wink:

I have had to go to jury duty twice in my life. I don't know how different the US is from Canada, but we get called every seven years. If you want, I can tell you the process that I went through both times, although, like I said, it may not be the same between us...??????
