Funny thing, earlier this week, I was thinking how cool would it be to give Paul lead vocals on even just 1 song on a future Hip album. Reminded me of Mills taking lead on Superman for REM's Life's Rich Pageant album. Then he takes lead on a verse of The Weight the other night.....a whole album? Would be interesting :thumb:

When they did the album premier for In Violet Light, I got through on the phone from Calgary and asked the question if they ever considered turning lead vocals over to anyone else. They pretty much gave it a resounding no.

I remember that exactly.
They all looked at each other with smiles on their faces. You just knew it had been discussed before.
The boys in the band had a good chuckle - but at the same time they knew it would be great to hear.

ok, i might be wrong, but i swear i heard a song where paul sung lead vocals from way back in the day...
