hock: ..BRILLIANT....Hearing these classics in a whole new light..the sequencing is perfect, and the way George Martin and his son have intertwined Beatles songs with each other is eargasmic....Highlights early on for me..... the accoustic While My Guitar, with a string score by Martin...brought a tear to my eyes...Lady Madonna with a different intro, Strawberry Fields, Blackbird mixed with Yesterday, and I Am The Walrus morphing into I wanna hold your hand...

It IS that good..and even the songs that aren't "changed" that much, have a great remastered sound...makes you appreciate just how fucking good this band was.

It's pretty cool. The transitions are great, and you're right about the sound. The remastering is amazing.

I heard some of the songs from this on the radio the other day and I thought they sounded great. I'll definately have to pick this up.

I saw an interview with McCartney and Ringo on CNN recently where they talked about seeing the show in Vegas and being amazed at how clear the remastered stuff sounded. If they were into it, you know it's good. Starting at about 3:20 of this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ2dCLQu7S8

It's one of the few shows I'd go back and see again.

Thanks sullivand! At points I felt that Paul & Ringo were just fuckin' with Larry. And I'm starting to wonder how Larry King is still on the air when he seems like he's completely unaware of who he is talking to, and what he's there for...

I agree Chris, I think its time for him to hang up the suspenders.

Since this thread re-emerged, it inspired me to pop in copy.
There's nothing you can say to describe it. This whole compilation leaves me speechless.

What a great buy.
How this wasn't the biggest Beatles compilation ever to be released is beyond me.
99 times out of 100, I'd pick this over '1'.
