...that we will see the hip release a rarities/besides/one-offs collection? now that they've already done a best of collection...it would seem like the next logical non-new album step for the band to take...
also...when do you think we'd see such a release?
what would be on it?

there's obviously enough material to put together a project of this nature...and i'm sure the fans would love it...

with all the unreleased stuff they have floating around they could put out a triple album. If Pearl Jam can rleease Lost Dogs, I think the Hip should release something similar. I'd be extatic if anything like this ever sees the light of day

If they were to do this sort of thing, they'd need to add really good band commentary for the liner notes, where they give a wee explaination on the song, and maybe why it didn't see the light of day, I always find that to be an improvement from where some bands just throw all the extraneous crap on a CD and sell it.
Tom Waits just did something cool, where he released a rarities disc, but rerecorded about half of it to improve quality.

They'd need to re-record (or at least remaster) most of this stuff, but I'd be all over it even if they didn't.

We've only heard the bootleg versions, traded and degraded by numerous tape transfers over the years.
A number of the posted tracks were recorded for albums but cut before final "pressing" so I'd imagine that they are of a quality suitable for release.

may as well throw the original version of THUGS on there too, I remeber hearing it a couple of times live on the first 2 roadsides and it was considerabley different (tempo) than the polished version on DFN
sure would love to see this happen some time in the future though
