What's your favourite WC song(s) performed lived? - tfoe - 11-13-2006

Ok all,

Now that the the smaller venue shows are complete, what's everybody's thoughts on the best song LIVE from the new album.

I gotta go with "The Drop Off." Really kicked a** live. Tons of energy from the band and the crowd.

Well I havent heard Last Night I Dreamed or Luv (Sic) live yet (which are 2 of my favs off the album) but so far I'd say Drop Off for number one and number two being Family Band

Really tough.

Either Container or Kids. Kids for its high-tension energy and container for the enveloping sound.

Family Band – saw it at the Phoenix 2nd night really worked as an opener allowing the crowd to whoop it up at the part where the music stops and the lights go down -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiwIIAg3Wjo

Looks like they opened a few shows with FB and/or Rink and closed the 1st set with FB and/or Rink too

Family Band is great live and probably my fave song on the album too

And although it isn't my favourite song live, I have to say that In View is 100% better live, minus those 80's keyboard

Family Band or World Container. They are my favourite songs from the album and both translate really well live. Also, ever since I heard Ocean in Fort York, I thought it was really good live as well.

- opiated - 11-13-2006

World Container sounds amazing live, as does Last Night

- Valente - 11-13-2006

Seeing "The Drop-off" at Fort York was quite special and sounded great. Honestly, the whole album sounds great Live. I'm really digging the live version of In View as well.

I was on the fence with the Lonely End of the Rink until I heard it live in TO.

I was blown away.

Runners up would be Family Band and Kids Don't Get It.

- nstaples - 11-13-2006

The Kids don't get it and Family Band

- Ballgame - 11-13-2006

havent heard any live bu I love Luv(sic)

- WheatQueen - 11-13-2006

I have to go with Family Band and Kids. Gord was right on with all the whoa's and yea's that are thru out the whole song on Kids.

- sean.bonner - 11-13-2006

Family Band was amazing live, but also, the crowd really gets energized during In View. Rink is equally phenomenal. Damn, the whole thing kicks ass.

- tth_fan - 11-13-2006

Here's my vote for World Container. It sounds better than on the album, now that the piano is gone, and you really feel the anti-Harper meaning behind the song when you see them perform it live. Gord goes all out and sings it with a ton of emotion!

Definitely the Kids don't get it & the Drop off!!!!
