My wife is shopping for a new cell phone and wants to have some hip ringtones. So I have a couple questions....

What determines if a phone is capable of downloading a custom ringtone? I have a Virgin phone that can download music ringtones from their site but I can't create my own.

What software do you recommend?

If you have a cell phone that can play mp3's you should be able to download mp3 files to your phoe and use them as a ringtone..I have a few different hip songs set for each person who calls..
