Looking for a good (and idiot simple) audio editor - hotmetal401 - 10-14-2006

Hey folks.

I'm looking for an audio editor for Windows that is
a/good quality
b/easy to use
c/preferibly free

I picked up K-OS's new record Atlantis, which is brilliant by the way, and am looking to split the last track in two. There's a hidden track on the album, after his colab with Buck 65.

Any help would be awesome.

Audacity is my favorite, but there is probably something better out there that i don't know about. It has a quick learning curve, versatile exporting, and its free.

if you can happen to find a demo of wave lab lite (not the full one), it is dirt easy to use. Just look on tucows or something

I downloaded Audacity. Couple of things are on the go here today, but I'll be trying it out tonight.

i know u found one, but wavepad is the user friendly and free

Thanks for the advice everyone - I've been thinking along the same lines as hotmetal401! Big Grin I think I'll give audacity a spin at some point.

hotmetal401, How have you found Audacity? I'd be interested to hear your oppinions after (I assume) you've had a chance to play with it. Big Grin
