Five Years Since Sep. 11/01 -

I can't believe it's been five years.
I'm watching a number of the memorial ceremonies on TV right now and the whole thing is haunting. I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard about it and I remember getting to a TV just before the second tower came down.

ya, i was in school at the time, and it just so happened that i was in communication technology, so we had lots of tv's and computers and internet access in the room, and we were the first people in the school to find out/see what was happening...when we turned it on the first tower had just just been hit...i was like, what movie are you guys watching, and my friend was like, no man, this is real...it was quite profound.

That was such a crazy day. I was in school as well, taking Journalism at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Like Darkest Canuck's class, we were also in a room full of computers and TVs, and after the first plane hit we were glued to CNN and CBC all day long. Needless to say we didn't get any work done. The next morning we were all running around town working on 9/11-related stories for the next issue of our student paper.

I was down at College on that day - It was my first week of my art foundation course in Brighton. I remember my mate getting a text message from his (then) girlfriend telling him what had happened. He told me the twin towers had collapsed, and I thought he was winding me up! I remember listening to the news reports on the radio as we drove home as well. Unbelieveable.
I can't believe it's been five years either! It feels like it was only a few months ago.

I can't watch this at work, but lemme guess:
Olbermann is whining and moaning and criticizing something to the nth degree...probably with some political slant or motivation?

Ah.
That's a fresh, new take on things.

one may argue that its hard to have a fresh, new take on things when its always the same old thing happening
