if you're using windows xp try this :

go to ctrl panel under 'user accounts' icon, click on yer username/admin account under "pick an account to change" you should see the option to switch/select the photo appear on the left

as for the way the start button opens, right click directly on start and go to properties should see classic start menu highlighted, un-select and select 'start menu'

et voila

Sounds like you need to run a virus and ad-ware scan. You may need to repair your registry as well.

- lilbones - 07-25-2006

The only good thing about "Waiting" was the use of the New Pornos' "Electric Version".

OFF TOPIC!

Unfortunately, most effective registry editors/cleaners will cost you between $20 - $30. They'll usually offer a free "scan now" option right from their website but they often only show you what needs to be fixed or fix the first few that it finds and informs you that you can fix the rest with a purchased version.

If you're unable to or not interested in purchasing software, I suggest doing a little more research on sites that address the problem and look for the registry entry that needs to be edited or deleted. Typically, someone will post the errant entry and the "fix" and you can manually edit the registry.

In Windows, you can access the registry for manual editing by clicking the START button, select RUN, and type REGEDIT in the command line. This will open the registry in an Explorer type mode and you can locate and edit the necessary entry.

I'm at work and can't recall which editor I bought but I think I paid $30 and it's been well worth the investment. In addition to resolving critical registry issues, most of the programs will also clean up shortcuts, favorites, and other nuisance issues that can slow down your system.
