Wow! Look at all the rarities... -

We'll Go Too, Escape, Wherewithal, Greasy Jungle,
38 YEARS OLD (

hock: )...what a tour it looks like we're in for. My only complaint is no sign of any NFLD dates, yet.
Anyway, what do you all think they'll break out next (or down the road)?

Well you are missing a couple in Chagrin, Sherpa, Daddy and Titanic. I am sure there are more but I don't have the energy to check the setlists. Hopefully they will keep playing these as they are some of my favourites.
Would love to hear Vapour Trails but I don't want to turn this into a thread of "my personal favourite setlist" or "ultimate setlist." I think Sinclair is doing a fine job of mixing it up. My trust is in him!

Yeah, I wasn't meaning to list them all, just the ones that immediately jumped off the page at me.
Vapour Trails would certainly be nice. Personally, I'd just love to hear any album cuts from Up To Here and Road Apples. Tunes like Opiated, Long Time Running, Cordelia, Luxury and When The Weight Comes Down would be incredible.
And of course, I think we'd all like hear Fiddler's Green one of these days, but that's never going to happen, for good reason. I'm glad it got some recognition on Yer Favourites, though.

I think Fiddler's got a lot of recognition. I imagine it was in the top five with NOIS, Nautical, Meridian & ABAC. To tell you the truth, I don't think that I would want to hear them play Fiddler's. It has so much of a mystique to it
because they have never played it live that I think it would spoil it if they did. To hear that story last year about Robbie and Paul playing it at that campsite in Newfoundland was good enough for me. Damn what I would have given to be one of those guys around that campfire...

Yeah, I was at the campsite but nowehere near where this incident took place. Needless to say, I was bummed. To cover my jealousy, I just tell myself that it wasn't the same without Gord.

As I've got more into Pearl Jam and travelled to their shows i realized a missing element of The Hip shows, especially in 2002 and 2004, was there wasn't much surprise. I know it sounds spoiled, and it is, but for those of us who go to shows on every tour, buy every album and care enough to read setlists and show reviews on the 'net I just wished there would be more variety live because the band has such an extensive catalogue of songs to choose from. If you saw them two nights in a row, you could probably guess the openers. Silver Jet and Use It Up would open in 2002 and VS or Nashville would open in 2004. The fact that they're changing their sets up more makes me happy to no end!

Wow....I cannot believe all these old gems they have plucked out again. So what is next? I mean, 38 Years Old, Sherpa, Titanic, Lionized, Chagrin, Etc...
What can we expect next? It's like the Hip through their rules book out for making a setlist 101. The typical openers are gone, Grace, etc. NOIS has been mia, though that may be only an american thing.
This only makes the bond between the Hip and their fans more intense, because they have truly listened to our comments and wishes and dug geep into the Hip song catelog and pulled out some dusty ones. I'm a geek and I can't wait for the Hipbase song stats to be updated.
I also can't wait to hear what they dig out next.

I haven't been this excited about the Hip's setlists in a long time! Not that I ever found them disappointing, but the fact that they're really mixing it up is fantastic.
EDIT: Just read the 'wikipedia' post, and I guess "You See Details" wasn't played at Artpark after all. Weird that they have it in the setlist. That would've been a true rarity.

Not on the subject of Rarities, but rather on the subject of crazy ass sets.
I can not believe they opened with Blow at High Dough...that's just...mind bogglingly good...
