Here's the thread where everycan post their views on the new hip songs! Apparently, "Pretend" is one of them, yet I doubt anyone here at the base was at the Gala...
Oh well, post here after the Commodore and Gorge and any others in the near future!

Yah...caught that too. I'm thinking "I don't remember Pretend on any of the albums". Here's hoping they play it in Charlottetown.

Hahaha. This is the first thing I see after I check the boards to see if it really
is a new song, or just one of the few outtakes/b-sides that I haven't heard (of). This would be a good   candidate for the    Song of the Day,
MaV.

Here are the new songs thus far:
Pretend
The Lonely End Of The Rink
The Drop-Off
Try
Those of you who attended the recent concerts and heard the songs; Could you describe the songs for us? ie: uptempo, slow, acoustic, rock driven tune. And which of the Hip's past songs does this new one remind you of?

Lonely End of the Rink, Drop-off, and Try are all up-tempo rockers, though I think Try was a little slower than the other two. All three sounded great.

"Rink" sounds like a definite first single. Rocking tune!

I can barely make out a tune on either song. But from what I could hear it seems that The Drop Off had evolved from the jam session mav was so kind to film for us from Salmonfest.
Now if only we could get a release date or something new about that next album.

I think Rink may just be a dance floor anthem for the Fall
I'm stoked.
Cheers,
