I can't wait til this comes out! From what I've read, he only recorded the thing about a month ago, and it's supposed to be in stores by mid May. That's amazingly quick turn-around for a studio album. Neil Young is the only artist that seems to be able to do stuff like that. I read a recent interview with Sam Roberts where he complained that his finished album sat on Universal's shelves for months before they released it, because they wanted to wait for the right time to put it out. He said it was the longest wait of his life. Major labels suck.

It is quite amazing how quick this came about. Talk about a muse sweeping in swiftly and with purpose. I remember reading something about Neil saying sometimes when he's out of songs, he goes outside and waits for the wind to blow some new ones in. Looks like it was a mighty wind storm this time. I can't stop listening to this record...start to finish, it's remarkable.
myspace.com/neilyoung is also streaming it

There's around 350 seeds, and it's downloading pretty quickly.

I'm heading out tommorow at lunch to pick up a hard copy. And I may just pick up the chili peps too. Wow, May is a good month.

What a fantastic record! It's amazing how quickly Neil can switch from the acoustic beauty of Prairie Wind to the grungy, in-yer-face guitar onslaught of Living with War. He's just so damn pissed off on this album, and I love every second of it!

I must say, I'm not a fan of it. It's too...in your face. Maybe that's a good thing, but I really don't like listening to it. I like my lyrics cryptic-ish, not like that.

I find this album forgettable. After The Garden is the only track that stands out to me. I believe Neil's about three years to late putting out this album. Also, I'm not a fan of the choir singing the lead. I fine with it as background melody, but I tend to buy Neil Young albums to hear Neil Young.
But I'm still glad I bought it :thumb: .
