My 6-year-old son was disappointed that there was no "Vaccination Scar," but honestly, I though the set list was a perfect balance of some of their best tunes, some gems, and a few new tunes. They had great energy and put on a great show.

Really surprised that No Threat and/or New Maybe were not played... wonder if it will be normal for New Orleans to be skipped at American shows.

They played a long intro before Gord started singing. I was hoping the end would lead into Dire Wolf like I have on one of the shows I downloaded, but no dice. It was great to hear anyway.

I have gone on record as saying that I think that Gems is my favourite live Hip song (even though I've never witnessed it first hand). But wow, amazing setlist. I hope these rarities carry over for the rest of the summer.
And I'm also excited to see Heaven Is A Better Place Today carry over, and just be a 2004 song. A rockin' tune to hear live.

Gordie was pretty happy and talkative, let's see if I can remember some of his lines (paraphrasing of course):
Something about polar bears eating polar bears...
"This is a song about a cholera epidemic about a hundred years ago. I'd imagine even Pittsburgh was affected. If ships saw yellow flags on the shore, they'd keep right on sailing. Quarantine."
"Anyone here in love with a cop?"
"When I was in Grade 5 (sorry, 5th grade), I had a teacher who came to school with a red canoe... on top of his car. He gave his canoe a name. Most people give their boat a name, but not their canoe. Anyway, he named his canoe Grace, Too."
I can't remember which song it was, but Gordie pretended to have a conversation with his family about going on the road, how he'd try to keep his nose clean and that he'd be home soon. Anyway this morphed into him saying "Bring them home! Bring them home! No more God damn war!" or something to that effect. I know a lot of people don't like their bands to get political on them, but I thought the way Gordie did this was cool. He got a pretty big cheer from the crowd too.
