Here are some lyrics from the new Wheatus album out:
"The sound of American radio's making me feel like I just killed my mom and my dad/ These pop songs are meant to be simple so people who make them, we take them and break them in half/ But as I drove I remembered that you made a tape/ For me to play if I my ears were ever being raped/ I slipped it in and the Tragically Hip came on singing about matches/ Well at least someone still believes in the melody."
Hmmm, what song was being played. At first I thought maybe it was 700 Ft. Ceiling of Fireworks (hockey matches) or something along those lines. Any other guesses?

When they sing about the Stereophonics I hear the word Matches, but for the part about Tragically Hip the word matches is changed to music I believe. (but my ears have been wrong before, lol)

I'll be on the level... I haven't heard the song, it just came up on a search. If it is music, it may be slightly harder to narrow down.
