Why would they play in June then? Aren't these early shows usually to support the new album? Also, why would they go to Europe before the album?

My guess is the Touring in May and June is to take advantage of the Summer festivals.
5. January 2007 - Canada, full arena tour
What is the point if they do a small club tour with multipul nights then an arena tour a few months later? The average concert ticket buyer will maybe only do one of the two shows.

Exactly. The general routine is to tour AFTER the album comes out. Here's how I see it going down, and MAv, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong:
May/June- new album release, Sasquatch Festival, Fort York shows, etc...
July- Europe
Aug/Sep/Oct- U.S.
Nov/Dec- Canadian winter tour

A May/June album release makes sense to me, and it sticks with their routine.

Not necessarily. Pearl Jam's new album is coming out on May 2nd (according to numerous sources) and there still hasn't been any official announcement yet. Going by how their tour is starting to shape up, my guess is the new Hip record will be out no later than early June.

I tend to think that it'll be just like '04 and '02, with a Euro trip tossed in. Album drops (TM Hip Hop. All Rights Reserved) June 13, 20 or 27, followed by summer festival gigs and a European vacation, Fall across North America.
In '02, the public announcement for the June 11 release of IVL happened on March 10. The announcement of the June 28 IBE release was similar.
So, if the pattern holds, a title and release date would happen in the next two weeks.

Anything's possible but I'm inclined to agree with Dame. As far as I'm concerned, the Henhouse lost its relevance long ago.
I'm jus' sayin'.

I just read the Henhouse posts...in response to a question about US club dates, dude goes on to say:

I like it when the album comes out at the start of summer...
Each new hip album i assosiate with memories from that particular summer......that, and i'd like the release to be sooner than later.

That is rather unnerving.....but it can get much, much more excrutiating than this.
