The Luxury

This album's got a lot of sentimental value for me. I think the best examples of Gord's poetic prowess can be seen in this song. It reminds me of a night I spent in Hamilton after a show where I stayed in a horrible 'Motor Inn' of likeness to the one described in the song.

This song, for some strange reason, reminds me of Ian McEwan's novel 'Atonement'. If anyone else here has read the book they can probably draw the same conclusions through the tone and mood of the song.

I get that same feeling, but for me there are definitely some constants. I have a selection of songs that are always top of my list regardless of the day or mood. I wont go into quotes, but from each album I have definite list of favorites that never change, plus Im waiting for my wife to get home and Im bored so here goes..

Yeah, I agree with you. Check my list again... These aren't necessarily my 'favourite' songs.

The closest thing to a favourites list would go something like.

:lol: Works for me, I guess it is pretty hard to nail it down, but I do enjoy those songs I posted, above all others. Ill just call em "my go to guys" they make a winning team for sure.

Tie- Smalltown Bringdown & Killing Time

This album is short, but the songs are very good and underrated in my opinion, of the nine, those too are the best.

Up To Here:

Everytime You Go

One of my favorite Hip songs, very underrated, and the chorus is killer.

Road Apples:

Long Time Running

Very mellow. It's best listened to while laying on your bed thinking random thoughts.

Fully Completely

Locked In The Trunk Of A Car

Best.Hip.Song.Ever....From their best album.

Day For Night

Inevibility Of Death

Very underrated, and the chorus is killer in this one too.

Trouble At The Henhouse

Butts Wigglin

This was a tough one to choose, but Butts Wigglin is like no other Hip song and it's very good and original.

Phantom Power

Vapour Trails

I've said it alot, but this is another underrated song, it is, in my opinion, one of their best.

My Music At Work

Lake Fever

Great song, and a great story.

In Violet Light

It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken

The best Hip song to raise your lighter too.

In Between Evolution

Gus: The Polar Bear From Central Park

I like how Gord wrote this song, using Gus as an allegory.
