This review in the Whitby local newspaper caught my eye today:

Listening to local produces a mixed bag

This may well be the album we have been waiting for from the Tragically Hip. The hawkish country rockers from Peterborough are well versed in the musical lore of The Band and Neil Young and are the boyish understudies to the Sadies. Always welcome in the Shwa, McKenty and co. provide a blistering live evening and their skill and repertoire is unmatched. They do it all and on this release they out hip the Hip. Producer Gord Sinclair does just a great job marrying these traditions; I would suggest to the uncrowned kings of Kingston they should allow him control of the controls. Standout tracks, the rocking In The Movies and The Next Round, “it’s the same old story/love, drugs and glory”, share the same fascination with the ephemera of Americana that Blue Rodeo has.

I didn't know if it should go under the general Hip discussion or other musicians! Its a little of both.
