Did you folks see that guy kick a 50 yarder for a million bucks at the Argos - TiCats game?? That was awsome!!!

I saw it, and it was awesome. I had a huge smile on my face.
The smile, of course, was in part because my brother was covering the game, and in about the second quarter told me had to write a story about the $1-million kick...and he had 10 mins post kick to write it because of an early deadline...So the thought of him scrambling and writing some shitty lead like "For (name goes here), the fourth time is a charm..." makes/made me giggle.

Either way, congrats to the dude...esp. after missing the first 3 shorter kicks, and 50 yards is nothing to sneeze at.

The reaction he had on making the 50-yarder was priceless!

Heck, that guy should turn pro. If he can make a 50-yarder for a cool $1mil, then any other kick during a game would be a piece of cake!

I heard the guy is from Belle River, and someone on the telecast said "They'll be partying in Belle River tonight!" I used to live near there, and... uh, there ain't much to do there, so not sure what the party would be like...

But anyway, good for him, that was pretty freaking cool!

The replay of his girlfriend(watching before he kicked the winner)was priceless..... she looked like she had no hope whatsoever after he missed those first three kicks.

Maybe the BC Lions should hire this guy!

While it would still be great to win, the contest had some asteriks attached to it. One example would be that he does not receive 1 million dollars up front, but will receive $25,000 a year for 40 years. If he croaks, well it was free publicity for Wendy's and the Argos.

I still wouldn't complain about an extra tax-free $25 grand a year. However, a tax-free $1 million right up front would be pretty cool too.

The BC Lions need a kicker. haha. O'mahoney can't even make 50 yard field goals and he's a professional. Heck, he can hardly make 40 yarders. lol.
