Hypothetically speaking . . . - MAverick - 10-18-2005

Let's say one could put their hand into "the vault" . . . and could choose a few shows . . . let's say five (arbitrarily) . . .and with a bit of luck . . . get them to see the light of day one day . . . so my HYPOTHETICAL question is, where to start. How to choose. What criteria, etc. . . .

Don't read anything into this and don't get expectations up, but I like to have a game plan if the opportunity arrises and who know, it might one day.

So, any Hypothetical suggestions . . . how would one choose . . .and what would they be?

MAv.

I'm not sure what your asking but, I'd love to see the december 3rd 2004 show from saint john again, it was my first and holds a steady place in my heart.

I hope that was an answer.

There is no right or wrong answer, the question is basically, what shows (5) would you want to see released from the vault - recorded from the board, if you had the option of dipping your hand in and pulling some out . . . ok, I'll add a bit, and why? (my own curiosity).

Anything from the "Evening With" shows of 2000, particularly Hamilton.

Saint John New Brunswick December 3rd 2004
The reason I choose this show is because it was my first concert ever, I had awoke early on a morning in october when the tickets were on sale, noticed that i only had 10 minutes till they went on sale, got dressed and ran to the closest irving, got there just as they went on sale and got prime seats for me and my mom. The show was amazing, i'd never experience anything to this scale, i've seen a few local shows but nothing compaired to hundreds of fans all around me singing NOIS or that huge slutty lady letting all the men touch her.

That night still rings in my ears.

10/27/03 and 10/28/03
I would like to see the two surprise Whistler gigs from October/November of 2003.
The shows where they worked out the songs for the first time live.
To be able to hear the songs from In Between Evolution in their infancy would be great.

Gord was at his peak ranting stage, and he worked the stage and the crowd over really good. He stabbed multiple fans with his mic stand cum harpoon

Get Back Again, some members of the crowd sing Happy Birthday to Gord, awesome show at home.

Awesome from start to finish. The loudest sound I've ever heard was the ovation at the end of Courage!

There are lots more, but I need more time to comprehend the possible implications of MAv's suggestion before completing my list.

Thanks!

February 10th, 1995 - the band's first headlining gig at Maple Leaf Gardens...

Gord D. walks on stage, looks around and announces "What a dump..." as the band launches into Grace...I believe this was also the first time they played 50 Mission Cap in the building in which Barilko scored the goal...I'll never forget it...

As for the rest of the setlist - enough said:

grace, too
fully completely
inevitability of death
locked in the trunk of a car
last of the unplucked gems
fifty mission cap
thugs
at the hundredth meridian
daredevil
scared
pigeon camera
nautical disaster
little bones
titanic terrarium
greasy jungle
new orleans is sinking
fire in the hole
-first encore
lionized
three pistols
-second encore
impossibilium
