NHL Radio - chicagoblackhawks77 - 09-27-2005

Guys,

Unfortunately I am currently living in hockey siberia for the fore-seeable future; Kansas City. What is up with NHL Radio? Do you have to use XM or Sirius? Or is there something you can log into from the nhl website? Anyone else do this?

nhl.com broadcasts some games, audio for sure, not sure about video.

i'm pretty sure you can subscribe to nhl tv via nhl.com or somethin like that, where you get access to all the games, like mlb or nfl, i'm not 100% sure though. last season they streamed all the games (audio) for free though, which i thought was really cool, because you have to pay for mlb or nfl radio.

Sounds good. I love listening to the games.

Just read on ESPN that NHL Radio will be on both Sirius and XM satellite radio for the next two seasons, then XM gets exclusive rights starting the 2007-08 season.

Centre Ice rules. I had it when I was an ExpressVu customer for four or five years in a row. Well worth the money.

Sadly, Shaw doesn't offer it. Sad

I got the Rogers sports pack this year and wow what a deal. For 27 bucks a month you get everything from all the major sports (NFL, MLB, NHL, and NCAA basketball and football). I even get NASCAR (which I dont watch) and OHL games.

I cant wait for the season to start next week.

i should get some sort of nhl package so i can see more hab games this year...although i looked at tsn's schedule and they're going to have quite a few on this year, plus SRC and CBC coverage...i think i'll still look into it though.

FYI,

The NHL is broadcasting all the games on there website this year in an audio format. Guess it's sort of a reconciling effort for what they did to us last year.

be careful with that package, as you may find that sportsnet still blacksout games that aren't in your area..i had that happen to me quite a bit(quote]
