I'm not a big fan of the Blues, but I am quite curious to see how Lalime will do in St. Louis, (also extremely curious, and nervous, as to how Hasek will do here in Ottawa)...

I read somewhere on the web today he came in 25 lbs overweight. Thats not something your drop overnight. Even if he were in reasonable cardio-vascular condition, he'd still have to drop 10-15 lbs before he'd lace up for a game. Thats a good 4 or 5 weeks of solid training, he'll probably miss the opener, and the first few weeks.

Surprising, I suppose, that there haven't been more out-of-shapers...

Ha, that story on Tkachuk is one of the funniest I've heard in a while! I always thought he was an arrogant SOB... he has that constant smirk you just want to smack off his face.

It's like, gee, you only knew how long ago there would actually be a season and you needed to be in shape for it? Ridiculous.
