Ironic/Irony - Chris Tanz - 09-01-2005

Ok, before it comes down to a cage match, I thought I'd let the people decide, or maybe just express their opinions. Go read the "New Orleans" thread in the Hip Discussion forum and decide who wins this debate.

Please don't vote (not that I could stop you) if you haven't read the other thread and are only basing your opinion on years of stand up comedy routines. Your opinion may be the same at the end of the day, but please review the other thread in any event.

CF ... let me know if the options need to be revised. I've tried to be neutral.

For the record, I voted for no irony.

But if I created that poll, I would have added a third option:

"Who gives a rat's ass?"

but you voted, and you proved democracy works. so there's a moral victory in that.

I purposely stayed away from any third option. i think the rat's ass would have been the cat's meow, so to speak.

I seem to recall hearing from an extremely reliable source (ahem...pop up video) that there was at least one actual ironic situation in the song but that it was the only one.
