Anyone else listening to this one yet? I just downloaded it from iTunes this evening and I'm really diggin' it.

If you've never heard them, I tend to describe them as the USA's answer to the Weakerthans, and that is high praise.

And you've got to like a US band that mentions Calgary in their lyrics. :thumb:

These guys are incredible. Their last album, Transatlanticism, is one of the best albums from anyone in the last five years IMHO. I'm really digging the new one so far too.

Hmm...maybe I should finally check these guys out. I always held off because I've often heard them described as an emo band, and when I think emo I immediately think of the incredibly whiney (and annoying) Dashboard Confessional and other bands of that ilk. But lately I've heard way too many good things about these guys to ignore them any longer. It's time to see what all the fuss is about.

When I hear "emo" I automatically think of that annyoing Maroon 5. DCFC is definitely not Maroon 5.

Thank god. Because when I hear Maroon 5 I always have an uncontrollable urge to vomit. I freakin' hate that band.

I had heard of these guys but never any of their music until I rented a car one time last year. The previous renters had left Transatlanticism in the cd player so I listened to it and loved it. Needless to say, when I returned the car the cd stayed with me. :wink:

As I mentioned on another thread, I just heard "Soul Meets Body" (Or at least I think that's what it was called)... the song sounded very good. Think I may need to download some more and see if they are worth the investment of a price of a CD.
