I hope none of you have vacation homes along the gulf coast because by this time tomorrow there is not going to be much left. I hope people take the advice of the mayor and governor and get the hell out. I read this morning that the worst case snario is that N.O. could be under 15-20 ft of water for up to 4 weeks because the pumps to get rid of the water and the powerstation to run them will not be there anymore. This could be the worst hurricane in U.S. history...

That is crazy scary! I couldn't imagine what it must be like to have to leave your home and knowing it might not be there when you get back. Have there been any casualties?

hasn't been a category 5 since andrew in 1992 and we all remember what it did. This is one reason i wouldnt move south.... it seems like every state gets hit with some tragic events whether it be fire, tornado alley, hurricanes and floods.

usually when they get up here the storm is just a violent one to us....and paths change all the time so who knows.

update: got downgraded to category 4 but the roof is coming off the superdome which is home to the homeless and ppl that didnt have transportation...
