What a great weekend! Anybody else from Cowtown go to this thing? The highlights were many. Jeff Tweedy was especially brilliant, as was Sarah Harmer, The Weakerthans, Steve Earle and Hawksley Workman. Danny Michel was pretty cool too.

I was able to check it out Saturday night and got to see Sarah Harmer. She put on a good show, though I liked her Oct 04 show at Jack Singer better. But it was the kid's first concert, and he seemed to enjoy it - which is a good sign.
Wish I'd checked out the Weakerthans and Tweedy......especially Tweedy.

Been a busy weekend with a couple good friends getting married so I missed most of it but I was able to get out on Thursday night check out Tweedy.
Hawksley Workman was pretty cool that night too. But Tweedy definitly stole the show. Great to hear a lot of Wilco material stripped down and barebones. Only wish he could have played longer.

How long was his set and what did he play? Did he close?

Yeah, he was the headliner. I don't know the exact setlist, but here are the songs I remember, in no particular order:
Sunken Treasure
Spiders(kidsmoke)
Muzzle of Bees
The Late Greats
She's a Jar
Nothing's Ever Gonna Stand in my Way
I am Trying to Break Your Heart
Ashes of American Flags
I'm the Man Who Loves You
Airline to Heaven
Remember the Mountain Bed
He also did an Uncle Tupelo song, but I can't remember what it was.

The Uncle Tupelo song he did was New Madrid
and I don't remember him playing ashes of american flags
It was an amazing show though, I flew out to Vancouver to see Wilco last winter and this was the perfect compliment
It was prett crazy how good he was with just an acoustic guitar, the guy is wildly talented

You're right. Now that I think about it, I don't remember him playing that one either. I must be thinking of another song. Damn, this is gonna bug me all night now.
