hope the bit about Neil is true...I've been hearing this rumour for awhile, so it'd be great to be able to say I finally got to see the man in person... as for Avril...well, I guess my wife'll be happy....but Mark Knophler?? Why? Hasn't the lineup been criticized enough without adding this relic?? Well, at least that'll gimme time to go grab some food and a beer...

Rocker Neil Young added to Live 8 lineup
CTV.ca News Staff
CTV's eTalk DAILY reports that rock legend Neil Young will be performing at the Canadian edition of the Live 8 concert on July 2 in Barrie, Ont.
It will be a celebrated comeback for Young, who will be returning to the stage for the first time since undergoing surgery for a brain aneurysm in March.
Earlier this month, Young performed a song at a memorial service for his father, Scott Young, a well known journalist and author, in Kingston, Ont.
Twenty years ago, Young shared the stage with Crosby, Stills & Nash for the Live Aid concert in Philadelphia.
This year's Live 8 concerts are taking place in eight major venues around the world, and are orchestrated to put pressure on the G-8 nations' leaders to come up with more aid for Africa.
The July 2 concert in Barrie will be held at the city's 35,000-capacity Park Place venue, and will broadcast live on CTV.

If Robert Plant and Neil Young show up I will be seriously pissed that I don't have tickets.

As he should! :thumb: Neil will add some class to the show, to offset the stench Motley Crue will no doubt leave on the show.

Don't forget about the stench left by Simple Plan and Celine Dion.

Motley Crue will probably be one of the better acts on the bill...
