saw Johnny Fay last night at the Foo Fighters show at Lees...He looked thin and had some grey hair, he also didnt shake my hand directly, he went in for the "wrist shake".....it was wierd, maybe hes a germ-a-phobe ?? found that weird because he had 3 "super babes" rapped around him !
anyways I asked him about Live 8 and his reaction was mostly positive, saying "he thinks so" and " it looks like it" etc....I clinched my fist and pumped it right in front of him and said "wicked, I am planning my summer around it then " he chuckled and asked me my name !
hopefully it will go down....at DOWNSVIEW !

There's two stories about him and his hands.
One is that he saw someone picking their nose and then met them and shook hands with him.
The other is that he needs to protect his hands because he's a drummer.
I've heard many things from many people and I believe the second story. If he had been playing because they are recording and maybe getting ready to open for the stones he might have been protecting his hands.
If I remember correctly the night I met him I didn't try to shake hands with him but someone else did and he said his hands hurt from the show and he needed to protect them.

I once met Johnny after a show in San Francisco and he wouldn't shake my hand either. But I did notice that his fingers were all covered in band-aids, so it must be a drummer thing. There's obviously a lot of wear and tear on his hands after being on the road for a while.

Now that Dan Akroyd has been confirmed as the host of the Toronto LIVE 8, I would say there is a pretty good chance he'll bring along his K-Town chums... especially after ditching them at the Junos a few months ago...
