Futureshop.ca sucks - chris - 06-15-2005
I pre-ordered the SUL518 CD on June 5 from FutureShop.ca. Today, June 15, I got an email indicating that the item is out of stock:
FutureShop.ca Wrote:This is an automated email to inform you that the following item(s) from your order are currently out-of-stock. We are making every attempt to minimize the wait for this inventory. You will receive a ship notice email as soon as inventory becomes available.

What a crock of crap! With each passing order, I'm finding that buying things through the internet is a waste of time if the item is available at your local mall.

If you prefer to shop online, do like I do Chris use amazon.ca. I pre-ordered the new Oasis and Coldplay cd's last week on the Friday and got them on Monday. Always works like a charm for me. I hate futureshop, I always go to Best Buy here in London.

For the record, amazon.ca (aka. HMV.ca) is charging $17.99 for the SU disc (and $4 more for shipping...those extra $10 (futureshop was only asking $11.99 and has free shipping, such as it is) make it a tough sell to me...
As for Best Buy vs. Future Shop? Same *hit, different pile...they're owned by the same company:

I was referring strictly to their respective online stores...to be honest, it's been months since I actually stepped foot inside one of their retail stores... :lol:
Interesting note from the Best Buy website...the SU disc is also shown to be "out of stock" at Best Buy's online store (surprise, surprise), but according to the link below, it's not due to be released until next week (June 21st)...WTF???
