Ok, now that the video for the Darkest One is out there, I'm curious to hear where everyone would rank it in comparison to the others the band has done...
What are your top 3 favorite Hip videos?
To get the ball rolling, for me it would be:
1) Thugs
2) The Darkest One
3) Bobcaygeon
For a refresher, see:

I'm sure there'll be lots of discussion on this one...but that's what we're here for, right?

1. Locked In The Trunk Of A Car (Gord is very animated, amazing)
2. My Music At Work (Gords Dancing is Great)
3. The Darkest One (I like the shot of them all playing in the trailer)

You know, I hate to say it, but I'm not that impressed with The Darkest One. Frankly, the Hip's videos over the years have been pretty weak.
However, if I was to rank my top three, they would be:
1. Nautical
2. Thugs
3. Something On
Mats aka Bry.

Maybe thats because the hip dont depend on videos to promote themselves. instead they rely on their music, something not very common in todays music world.

Exactly, that's why we all love 'em, however, for us Hipster's it would be nice to see a really good "performance" video from the guys. You know, a well produced "live" video.
Bry aka Owen, I mean Mats.

I would have to agree that the Hip's earlier videos were more interesting, but it is still pretty tough to pick 3,
1. Ahead by a Century,
2. Thugs,
3. Poets ( do you think putting the pot in the fish tank was sort of a stunt to gain interest from a younger crowd? )

the pot in the fish tank was a "little plug" for a hydroponics store in Kingston, the boys know the owner !!

CanuckCourage - 03-11-2003
You can get both of them off of Kazaa Lite (make sure it's lite) . Kazaa Lite's great for Hip Mpegs.

Thanks.
I have kazaa lite, and have like every other hip video except those two. But are you sure they are actual videos not the live tapings from Saturday Night Live? I have a 56k modem and can't really afford to download a video I already have!
