Foo Fighters on Letterman Monday night! -
direwolf74 - 06-12-2005
Letterman has mentioned a few times on the show that the Foos are his favorite band, so this should be good. They played a kick ass performance of "Best of You" on the MTV movie awards the other night. What a great song! Can't wait to pick up the new album on Tuesday.

Oops, sorry folks. Wrong forum. Anybody know how to move a post to the correct forum??

I think only admins or moderators can do that. Someone will come along...

Got a little excited, eh direwolf?
Sorry, couldn't resist. And it's perfectly understandable, given your topic. I eagerly await both the Foos new disc and their appearance on Letterman. :thumb:

So it'd be tactless to jump all over you and yell and scream about posting in the incorrect section of this board, then, I guess?
So I can't say: "Wrong Forum -- Bad Form!!"
too bad
I love the Foo Fighters, courageously dedicating their careers to the relentless fighting of foo.

So who watches Leno? I don't know a single person who prefers Leno, yet he gets the higher ratings.

I prefer Leno, I think his monolouge is better and Jaywalking is pretty funny too. I don't know if Howie Mandell still does stuff on there but when he had his segment it was hilarious. He pretended to work in a craft store one time and he wouldn't sell this girl some t-shirt paint because he said there was a gang presence in the neighbourhood and he wasn't sure if she was going to use the paint to make gang markings. Also headlines is hilarious.
p.s. I will be tuning in to Letterman tonight to see the Foos

cratch:
All I know about Howie Mandell is those wildly annoying Boston Pizza commercials.

haha, and don't forget about that kids show!
Leno is pretty lame, i'll only watch if he's got better guests.

Some of Leno's stuff is ok, such as headlines and the aforementioned street walking thing, but I can't stand him when he interviews his guests. Nobody kisses more celebrity ass than Jay Leno. His interviews just seem so stiff and scripted. Dave on the other hand isn't afraid to make his guests a little uncomfortable. And when it comes to musical guests, 90% of the time Dave has the better bands.

Letterman says stuff like that too... tonight he just said something like "Do you realize while we are all just sitting here, the Foo Fighters are out there, fighting foo!!" That's good stuff!

I will not participate in any thread that tarnishes the good name of the Howie Mandell-driven 'Bobby's World'... (Well I guess I am contradicting myself right now by saying this, but the point, I hope is clear)
7:30-8 on Fox Buffalo, Cable 28 before I left for school, Bobby's World was a staple of my grade two mornings...
and yes, the fighters of foo are a solid quartet.
