i think that the hip should come to g.p. because they have alot of fans here. they should come even though it is a smaller community then what they are use to. and if a big mane like the tragically hip come to grande prairie maybe it would put g.p on the map for other bands tours. and they should do it for there fans.!!!

I was listening to Q107 here in Toronto a month or so ago, and they were doing a live-to-air broadcast from the Grand Prize home ($2.35 Million) for this year's Princess Margaret Hospital Lottery. ( <a class="postlink" href="http://www.pmhf.ca">www.pmhf.ca</a> ) The DJ was interviewing the President of the lottery and he said, "Not only do you win this incredible, fully furnished and landscaped dream home; you also get $20,000 cash that you can use to hire The Tragically Hip to play your housewarming party!"

I was dialing the number to order my tickets before he finished the word 'party.'

I have 3 tickets, and the draw date is June 1. I'll be sure to start a thread letting everyone know when the party is. :thumb:

What do they mean by "suggested college price"? and I like how they have them in the "alternative" genre. :roll: I dont believe that $15,000 is accurate, it seems awfully low to me.

i think you know that hip should do a little town tour, you know for the fans who live there. i know they would have alot of hip fans in small towns.

That is in the U.S. though. O.A.R. get 40 grand, they are unheard of in Canada, i would think the Hip would get at least 50 k in canada.
