Well, someone had to start this, but where to start...
They did get nominated for Group of the Year - simply because they ran out of groups to nominate.
Question:
Would IVL be considered POP, Rock or Country?
We can assume it's not country.
If it's Pop, then your telling me that albums by Jarvis (or is it Queen Dufferin) Church, Emma (who?) Gryner and Amanda (I'm a sell out, and I try way to hard) Marshall are better works of art?...right.
If it's Rock, then your telling me that albums by any of the five nominated are better, such as OLP, Danko, Tea Party (yuck), Treble Charger and Wide Mouth Mason (no offence Wide, but I did'nt even know you had an album out this year)...right.
We won't even discuss singles. C'mon fellow Canadian Juno nominators, if we can't get the slightest bit of recognition for the IVL masterpeice that it is, than how the hell are we supposed to make it in the outside world.
What a joke...however, the beauty of it all is that for another year we still get to keep The Hip all to ourselves, fellow Hipsters. Yee Haw.

Its a joke. I just looked at the list. They are not up for album of the year nor Rock album of the year. Like who picks these bands. Sorry but Danko and Wide Mouth are not exactly the most popular bands. I don't remember anyone running out and getting their albums the day they were released.

Single of the Year - Bullet Proof-Blue Rodeo(I haven't even heard this song)
- Brother Down-Sam Roberts(great song , but as good as "It's a Good Life" ? I don't think so Tim.)
Album of The Year - Up-Shania Twain( From the songs I've heard , not exactly thought provoking. Does she even sing?Good lip-syncer.)
- Rever Mieux-Daniel Belanger (Doesn't he play left wing for the Habs?)
Songwriter of the Year - Chad Kroeger ( Are you F*****G kidding me?)
I don't know what's more pathetic - the Hip not being recognized or our Navy.
