Does anyone else get a good laugh at seeing the NY Rangers sign and trade for these high priced players and yet again this year they probably will not make the playoffs??

Great to see . As usual the Rangers trade their prospects for another superstar. It's kind of funny , Glen Sather was considered a genius up in Edmonton , he goes to New York , has all the money a GM could possibly wan't and can't make the playoffs if his life depended on it. His life might not depend on it but his job certainly will. If they don't make it this year you gotta think he's toast .(depending on his contract situation) The Rangers should try what Detroit did , build with draftpics and prospects and then make that key aquisition before playoffs.

Rangers have always been a shitty team. They should trade Mike Richter to Philly and get some real players.

I think all Bobby Clarke would give for Richter is a bag of pucks. Even Phillys backup's got way better numbers than Richter . (I'll be it he doesn't have the playoff experience like Richter , not to mention Cechmanek hasn't been great in the playoffs.)
