i picked Grace Too because it's definately one of their signature numbers, it's from about halfway through the catalogue, and it's one of the older tunes that they still really seem to have fun playing. also, i picked it because i think it'd be the best to play with Neil (as far as hip song's go).

I think it's going to be a medley of songs just like Tom Cochrane did when I worked at the Junos here in Ottawa...it'll probably be a verse or two from 4 songs...small parts of each one culminating with Little Bones or Blow.

I'd vote for "there's no possible way that The Tragically Hip are gonna play a medley of their songs, regardless (or maybe particularly because) of what Tom Cochrane did".

I'd go with the Shania Twain duet mentioned above before a medley.

But that's just me,

I think that a medley would be the best idea, but I doubt that Gord could remember the lyrics to a song that complicated...

They'll probably play 3 songs that "define" their catalogue and call it a night.

Gord could possibly remember lyrics for a medley but only if he just randomly started singing them and the band had to figure out what to play sorta follow the leader style...but I have to go with Good Life not because it's made for TV but because they did play it at their last big TV appearance. Although the hip are not followers in any way, most bands play similar set lists for TV appearances when they are relatively close to one another.

Two thoughts...promote the current lp..vaccination scar seems to be the only single which got any air time around these parts....or promote the best cd/dvd and and then...my vote would be NOIS with a medley in the middle like the good ol' days

i think the only reason they played good life was because it was appropriate (in both mood and lyrical content) for the event, this time around i think it'll be a lot more up beat, that's why i think NOIS, Poets, Grace Too, and maybe Nashville or Scar could be the ones.
