Well between deciding I needed a mac and actually buying one it only took about 48 hours.
I was almost set on buying a used G3 iBook/800MHz, but then stumbled on this sweet deal for a BRAND NEW G4/1.2GHz iBook on eBay. I put in my bid and half an hour later it was mine. Hopefully she comes in this week. Best of all, the seller is just outside of Toronto so shipping is cheap and I don't have to worry about customs fees or any of that BS!!
Anyway, that's my news, and I can't wait for it to get here!

good for you twang! Im sure Chris will be along soon to congratulate you. :lol: Im also considering a Mac for my next computer, I like what Ive seen so far, especially on Dotto's Data Cafe, he was using one the other day and I was quite impressed.

Good call.....it'll last you about 7 years longer than a PC, and no viruses either...
Plus, iTunes actually works....

haha, well I'm not giving up on my PC just yet. I just built it about a year ago and for being as "old" as it is it still hauls some major ass. So I'm sticking with the PC for my desktop system, and will probably still do the majority of my development and programming on it.
However, my Photoshopping and Flash work will now take place on the mac, and it will help me for cross-platform testing. And the other obvious reason is the mobility factor.

That's because it's not worth the effort to write a virus for a computer that is only 3-5% of the market

At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles to the gallon."
One of the delegates responded with, "Would the Microsoft car crash twice a day on it's own?"

9. We would all have to switch to Microsoft Gas.
