The Latest Side Project - Hengelo - 03-08-2005

Hey, first off I just want to say that I've been a member here since damn near the beginning, but haven't gotten around to posting until now. At one time I was a frequent poster on a.m.t-h, but unfortunately activity in that group has dwindled in recent years.

Anyway, I figured I'd make my first post here a doozy. It seems that between April 7-16 a production of Jesus Christ Superstar will be performed at The Grand Theatre in Kingston. Check out the "Meet The Cast" link at the following site:

Scroll down to the 8th actor. I personally can't stand musicals, but I would gladly pay to hear him sing.

Very cool man, thanks for starting to post. and don't mind chris - he often comes off sounding harsh but he really doesn't mean to, i think.

I'm absolutely geeking out at this because I LOVE the musical, and i've always refered to Robby as 'jesus guy', long before I actually knew his name. I'm probably going to drive down there to catch this.

Hey, I remember you! Welcome to Hip central. I know there's a bunch of folks here who jumped ship from the old newsgroup at one time or another and ended up here (me being one of them), so it's nice to have you aboard. And thanks for the post. Whenever i hear the term "search Police", I always imagine an episode of Cops. They burst through the door, surrounding some poor guy in his boxers that's at his computer, and do a take-down, screaming "Use the search functions punk! You have the right to remain silent....."

Better then "To Serve and Protect", which is always domestic disputes, because we're so boring up here. Wink

It's a long story. She was an avid poster at the old newsgroup (alt.music.tragically-hip), and from what I've seen, she still is. Her posts are notorious for being incredibly long-winded, bizarre, and completely off-topic. They're actually more like personal diary entries. Often times we knew stuff about her personal life that we didn't really need to know. She also had/has a rather unhealthy obsession with Gord Downie, which frighteningly straddled the line between fan and stalker. She once claimed that the green shirt that he wore often during the Phantom Power tour (and in the "Poets" video) was one that she had personally sent him. I never really believed that one myself. I'll admit though, she was pretty fun to argue with. Anyway, that pretty much sums up Whorella. And that's all I have to say about that.

PS. I hope I didn't offend any of the old newsgroupers here for actually discussing her. haha.
