Bargain Bin -

so i'm in zehrs today and i just happened to be lookin through the bargain bin and what should i happen to find? The Tragically Hip self titled, Live Between Us and Music @ Work. I was shocked to find them amongst the likes of "it's a jazzy chritmas," "family christmas favourites," and "the best of rod stewart." what an insult, anyways they were only 3.99 and needless to say i now have extra copy's of the self titled ep, live between us and music @ work. for 3.99 how could you go wrong and its always nice to have backups especially when you find them for that price.

BLASPHEMY! It's always sad to see great art relegated to the cheapo bins...it's like the sum total of someone's toil and creative output reduced to nothing. Still, I wish we had them - I need a new M@W and I have needed a new Road Apples for a while but it never seems to go on sale here.
"It's a jazzy Christmas"...hahaha. As lame as it gets!

I saw LBU in the bargain bin for $4.99 as well as PP for $6.99. Phantom Power?!? Six ninety-nine??!?!? I felt like buying it for strangers and saying, "here, go educate yourselves; come back when you're smarter."
It's the same with the Tom Waits CDs ... I see Rain Dogs, Swordfishtrombones, and Franks Wild Years for $6.99 or $8.99 each and I just shake my head. Why doesn't everyone have a copy? Or maybe everyone does and that's why their going cheap, but I doubt it.
On the other hand, I was quite content to see The Boxer starring Daniel Day Lewis and Emily Watson in the Bargoon Bin for $7.99 the other day, and I snapped it up because it is one of my favourite movies of all time.
but yeah, seeing the hip in there makes me sad.

The other day in a record store, a buddy of mine noticed that he could own the hip's entire catalogue for about $60 plus tax.
--- He was missing IBE.
All the old MCA titles (by anyone, for that matter) are all being sold off at really low prices... it's got nothing to do with the hip. More likely something to do with Universal's takeover. Weezer's first album's been on sale for $5 for the last 6 years or so.

 I've gotten every Waits disc I own from a bargain bin! It
is a crying shame, but it saved me $$$!!
