New Years in Hamilton, hotel advise - bigA - 12-27-2004

Hi Hipbaser's,
I am coming to Hamilton for the big day, but I need to find a hotel near the venue. Clean and reasonable Smile Any suggestions, thanks.

I will be arriving on Thursday evening, and spending the next day exploring Hamilton and the surrounding areas. I want to meet as many hipbasers as possible. :thumb:

p.s. I also have an extra ticket for the show!

i'm staying in the sheraton... i'm pretty sure that it's attached to copps.

yes its attached sort of. it is very clean but i dont know about prices. the ramada should be clean as well, but its a short walk from copps (approx 5-7 mins by foot, not far at all). DO NOT STAY AT THE RED LION INN ACCROSS FROM COPPS!!!!!!!! i cannot stress that enough. there is an econo lodge very very close to copps just off bay on main street (3 min walk) which should probably be pretty good. the howard johnson on king is closed down now so dont plan on getting a room there. hope this helps.

I stayed at the Sheraton at the last NYE show in Hamilton, good hotel was clean, its a little pricey but we split it between 4 people. After the concert we went back and someone in the building pulled the fire alarm and we had to walk up the stairs, everyone was partying in the hallways it was a wild nite. I dont know what kind of work you do, but try asking for a corporate rate, I get one through Canada Post.

By the way, my new year's resolution is to once, only once, manage to use the 'quote' feature correctly.

Unfortunately, I fear this may not be possible.

I checked the Sheraton website. There are no rooms available. You could try calling. It is the best place to stay. You can leave your coat in your room and walk underground to the show.

I just booked at the Sheraton for the 30th, they are booked for the 31st, so I am hoping for a cancelation. Smile Anyone know anyone there??

I got drunk in there a couple times, what a dump! We got a place here in London just like it called the Brunswick Hotel and Bar, on Talbot St. You need to check it out bean, you'd love it! :thumb:

haha red lion inn is a dumpy dirty little bar with a hotel on the second floor. rooms by the hour.

I've looked for rooms for the 31st in hamilton for a week. I was able to find the Budget Inn 2000 for $99, but this place just doesn't sound too great. Has anyone stayed there before?
