well, Canada begins their exibition games today, and i couldnt be more excited!!
Christmas time always goes better with hockey, even more so with no NHL
I forsee TSN getting record audiences for Canada's games

It will be good to be excited about hockey again for the first time in months, especially after the anticlimactic finish to the World Cup of Canada, errrr, Hockey. I gotta say though, as a working stiff it is a royal pain in the arse to have the majority of games on during the holidays but then the gold medal game is always on when it is time to go back to work.

hell ya I'm excited... I'd even be pumped for this if it was a normal season but we're all starved for competitive hockey to watch. and these kids are damn good. the talent will be better this year because all of the young guys in the NHL whose clubs won't let them leave for the tourney will be free to go (well at least most of them).
and no games on cbc... tsn has been covering the tourney for years. i wouldn't be surprised if the american games are being covered if for no reason other than the fact that it's being held in the states and the U.S. won it last year.

nope, none on CBC, all on TSN
it is being held in the US, and they still dont have coverage??

Believe it. You guys get excited by the college bowl games (you know, like the MPC Computers Bowl :lol: ) and we get excited about the junior tourney.

I was pumped for this even before I got tickets. Watch for Shawn Belle. This guy is an unreal skater. Look for me on TSN. I'll be the tall, kinda dorky lookin, drunk Canada fan being escorted out by security in the first 5 minutes. That is if I get past the border with my glock 9 and trunk full of cheeba. Is there a better holiday tradition than this? What a treat that they play on Christmas day! Really messes up the routine of watching the new Don Cherry tape!

The Don Cherry Tape is a tradition for me too!!! I guess I will have to squeeze it in earlier in the afternoon. My problem is Canada plays at 4 against Slovakia, so it will be on while I am eating christmas dinner. I am gonna be running back and forth from the dinner table to the tv.

My wife and I caught the fever when they played here in Halifax a couple years ago. Great hockey and the crowds set records for the tournament. Believe the hype. The teams love it and appreciate it.

I wish I could make one of the games at the MTS Center... I will just have to watch it on TV like the rest of us.
