Vince traded! -

What do you think? I think it's a good deal for the Raps, they got rid of a guy that didn't want to be there, and got 3 that might want to be there. Plus 2 first rounders

Raptors got a very good deal; I don't know when Carter's deal is up but the likelihood of him staying around is very slim cause he'll look to go to the highest bidder when his contract is up. Plus he gets injured too easily.

good, now I wont have to hear about what a whiner is and how he isnt living up to expectations. And all the recurring injuries. Now he can become the Nets' problem. Good Riddance. :thumb:

Trading Vince Carter for a box of shoelaces would have been a great deal for the Raptors. Anything else is a bonus.

Don't know how much 'Zo wants to be in TO... I thought he said he wanted to be traded to a contender. Still, the two Williams guys will work hard, and hopefully the Raptor braintrust will use the picks wisely and draft good players who will help rebuild the team.
No question, "Wince" Carter had to go. Kind of funny to think that a couple years ago he was one shot away from leading the Raps into the Eastern Conference championship series and perhaps firmly becoming a real sporting icon in Toronto. But those days are long since gone, and all we've gotten from Vince lately is whining and injuries.
Oh well...

Carter for one shoelace is a dead even trade. Two shoelaces would have been a good trade for the Raps so the fact that they got two first rounders is a big bonus for them. Mourning is as big a whiner as Vince and probably won't even play for Toronto. It's great that Zo came back from his ailment but he should just retire because his body can't take it and he's more washed up than my laundry. The other two Williams guys are just replacable players that aren't terrible but easily replacable by almost anyone. The big thing for the Raps was getting rid of Vince for good. That alone is an accomplishment.

Shoelaces are dependable. They are also an integral part of the game. Aside from velcro, what else could keep their shoes on? Possibly zippers, but that's just silly. Good sturdy shoelaces means the team can focus on the game instead of their shoes.
Vince gets injured way too much. Vince doesn't understand what the game is all about. Aside from European hockey players, he is one of the biggest softies in all of sports. Possibly soccer players who fake a broken leg every five minutes, but that's another debate. Perhaps with Vince gone the team can focus on the game instead of their whiner.

Eric Williams is a good player, does the little things, Aaron Williams is a banger and Alonzo will be traded/bought out. Unfortunately, the picks we have coming back are those of Denver (good) and Philly (average) so the picks won't be high. I wish we would have traded him earlier when his value was higher, but i suppose rob babcock cant predict the future. It was the best they couldve expected at this stage of the game.
Note: Sorry for using we, I get emotional when the Raptors are involved.

I think we're too easily dismissing all the missed last second shots that Vince brought to the team.
Come on, now who's gonna throw up air balls on the fade away when we're down by 1 in the last second.
Nice knowing ya Vince,
CT
P.S. Vince wasn't soft; the rest of the game was too hard.

Did y'all here the rumour about "Air Canada" tipping off plays to the Sonics the other week? Unbelievable. Not only is he gutless, but he's classless too.

Good riddance Vince...didn't want to be here anymore anyways...so screw him.

I don't know... I just can't believe that to be true. Sure Vince was a soft player and a distraction on the team... but I just can't see him trying to sabotage his own team. If he really wanted to be traded (which I believe he did), why would he pull a move like that which would cause everyone to back off and leave him stuck in Toronto? Plus you have to question the timing of this rumour... this only comes out after he's traded? Yeah, like that's gonna be a credible tip.
Now if this is proven true, I'll admit my mistake and call Vince every name in the book... but I just have a hard time believing this.

I'm not so sure the rumour is true either but IF ANYONE IN THE NBA WOULD DO THIS, IT WOULD BE VINCE CARTER!
