I just got this press release, and it states current AND past shows.
Hopefully coming soon we can grab some older shows.

Very cool-I remember they made mention of past show, as they've been known to record them, at the Mod Club show/interview back in June. So here's hoping....we all know The Hip's issues with being punctual however....

Thanks for the link..that's an interesting article. I hope they will release the Kingston "Across the Causeway" show. I'm dying to hear Dan Akroyd play Harmonica on Locked again........

definitely a cool article. nugs.net has been one of my favorite websites for a long time now. they offer a ton of free downloads of full concerts on their main site from bands like the dead, phish and moe., as well as some more high quality downloads on their pay site, livedownloads.com. im all for paying for hip shows (i bought the toronto show the day it came out), but heres to hoping they put some of their older gems on nugs.net

I asked the Livedownloads guy who posts here about releasing older shows on Livedownloads in another thread and this is what he said:

when it said older, i was thinking of show from previous years. how fucking cool would it be to get a couple shows from the late 80's/early 90's. or a few shows from the '95 DFN tour.

Well, he said there are "dozens" of shows in the vault, so I'd like to assume he means more than just 2004 shows.
Wow. That 2.10.95 setlist is something else.

I want the Burlington show from this fall. What a blast that show was. I've spoken to many who felt that it was the best show in the U.S. leg of the tour.

wow, that 2.10.95 show would rule. I would imagine that if they really are digging into their so-called vault, it would involve shows from previous tours. My vote would be 4.17.99, the best show I ever saw. or maybe 8.7.02.

On the other hand, what if all they mean by "past shows" is that they release shows and the shows remain available indefinitely? Technically 7.1.04, 11.27.04 and 11.28.04 are in the past, right? if that's what they meant, then that's rather lame.
