Word! I've been on a '24' jones for months now. I was beginning to think it wasn't coming back; you know, innovative concept, sharply written, gripping drama, cohesive plot-line, flawless acting, hyper-suspenseful editing...all the components of a show easily cast off by traditional network standards.

I was geeked when I saw the promo the other night. Season one blew my mind and I figured season two would pale in comparison but I was duly impressed; it was even better. In the finale when Chase was cuffed to the virus and Jack eyeballed the fire-axe... Confusedhock:
It had to be the most bone-chilling scene ever broadcast

I can't freakin' wait!

I just finished watching season 3 on DVD. What a fantastic show! I don't have cable, so I'm gonna have to wait for season 4 to be released next year.

Dire, if you use bittorrents you can look on suprnova.org or a tv show torrent site and download each weekly show from the net. Usually in high rez HDTV format which looks really sharp and commercial free. It's an option. Smile

Great show.
It is going to be on a different night this year.
It is premiering on that Sunday with a two-hour episode.
Then the next night 24 moves to its regular time slot of Monday.
And then it is on for twelve or 16 weeks in a row.
Thank god they are doing it this way, no more two and three week waits between episodes. That was annoying the last three seasons.

that 3 week hiatus was torcher.

the best scene in season 3 was when jack shot Chapelle.

that end scene when jack pulls the trigger, you hear a train whistle in the distance and the the clock counts down the final seconds. wow. i still get chills just thinking about that.

That was an incredibly chilling scene. I didn't think he was gonna go through with it. That's one of the reasons why it's such a fantastic show. Most other crime dramas (with the exception of CSI) would have the lead character find a way to get out of that situation at the last second, and everybody would live happily ever after. But not 24. I love it!

AHH!!! I just started watching 24 in September when I stole the 1st season from a friend of mine. My girlfriend and I couldn't stop watching it 'n finished the whole thing in about 3 weeks (keep in mind, we only see each other on weekends). We then got the 2nd season from my friend ASAP 'n loved it too (although I definitely preferred the ending of the 1st). Since season 3 just came out on DVD, I'm still waitng for my friend to buy it so I can thief it from him... I can't wait for the 4th season (I was trying so hard to scan the messages here so as not to ruin any season 3 info... but I think I caught a glimpse of something I shouldn't have... this is the last time I'm posting and/or reading this thread).

Season 4 has kicked off some controversy without making it to its air date yet...apparently a Muslim organization in the US watched the beginning episode and immediately got offended because the plot involved a Muslim family in the US conspiring to hatch a terrorist plot. Unfortunately I can't find the article I read about it so I can't give anymore details.

Maybe you guys can help:

My husband and I were following the show regularly, we watched seasons 1 and 2. When it came around to season 3 we were getting so sick of the Kim character and storyline that we gave up on the show. (The whole thing with her working at CTU and bothering Jack with her boyfriend ordeals while he was trying to 'save the world' bit was just so annoying)

So my question is: did any of you get frustrated with the show at a point only to realize that as time went on you were glad that you stuck with it? We really loved the 1 and 2 seasons but the third just wasn't catching us.

My wife and I did get sick of Kim (but, damn she is hot - see "The Girl Next Door")
24 was still good, we just kept on watching, hoping Kim would be the next victim.
Neither of us can wait for next Sunday and Monday. It is still a good show.

She won't be a main character in the show this season,but will make occasional appearances throughout the "day" from what I've read.
Now if it were only in a string bikini..oo la la! Wink

FYI, the organization that complained about the first episode of 24 is currently being sued by some of the families of the September 11th attacks as an accessory to the attacks and a conspirator.
