Pointless Statistics Volume 2 - Hairbird - 12-07-2004

Well, now that the Canadian leg of the tour is over, I figured that I'd post the set list stats that I've compiled. This time I've done it a little bit differently. I copied some of my tables as pictures, and posted them on a little web page. I've never done this before, so hopefully it works out alright.

This is only for the Canadian leg of the tour. As with the last time, I copied the setlists directly from thehip.com, so there is probably a couple of errors. At some point in time I hope to verify what I've got with first-hand accounts, and correct any mistakes. Eventually I hope to start pulling old setlists into a database, making it possible to query stats for a given tour, or between particular dates, etc.

I didn't include everything that I've got, but this is probably the most interesting stuff. If you click on the last table (album stats), you'll find a more detailed breakdown.

Man, bravo!

Do you do numbers for a living or something?

No. I'm just a geek who's been avoiding work like the plague lately!

Haha...awesome.

Just a minor note, the Halifax show was on 5 Dec, not 6 Dec... Interesting info though!

That's fantastic! Good work

Excellent stats. Love those tour ending stats.

That's awesome!

The one thing that stands out to me more than anything is that Goodnight Josephine was played only once the WHOLE Canadian tour. A song that I thought was the strongest of the whole IBE album.

That just blows me away!

funny how opinions differ. i would definitely not agree with this statement but, alas,...neither of us is really wrong Smile it's just personal opinion 8)

i'm STILL pumped up on vaccination scar and would love to see it show up as an encore someday...although opening the show with it definitely rawks!

great work on those stats. what amazes me, always, about the hip, is that they mix it up just enough to keep ya guessing...truely one of the few great bands that deliver that "special show" feeling every single time

they actually closed with vaccination scar in myrtle beach, i'll have to check the stats from the us tour and see if that's the only time it's showed up in an encore. i think it works better as an opener IMO, one of those songs to get the crowd going :rambo:

When I get the chance during the next few days, I'll post the US tour stats on there too. I did them originally, and cut-and-pasted some of it into another thread at the time. I could also show the combined stats for the whole tour, which I haven't looked at yet, but might be quite interesting too.
