hahaha... thats great... 'Cereality'... from a marketing stand point, not a bad concept... something to fill that niche market... I don't know where-else anybody would go for a good bowl of cereal... unfortunately it seems like its cereal gone wrong; M&M's as toppings on cereal? I'm willing to bet it will be a profitable venture... I'm thinking $3.00/bowl... very low cost, nearly no overhead, limited operating hours thus very little wage and salary cost... they'll of course still charge $2.00 for a coffee... seems like a smart idea to me... but I can't see myself hanging out at a cereal bar... but as Jenna_Bird mentioned, on-campus isn't a bad idea... I still like my McDonald's Sausage McMuffins... and I have the high blood pressure to prove it...

I usually eat cereal in the morning and at night. I would consider it if it was cheap enough.

Whatever they charge, it'lll be at a huge mark-up. And they're going after the right market - university students - a population that generally spends before thinking about value (I was one of them, 4 years later I'm still paying off my debt).

I read somewhere that they are going to charge $2.75 a bowl....which is roughly what a big mac is worth. I think I'd go for the cereal myself Smile

The fact that this idea seems utterly ridiculous and inane to me probably means that it will be a huge success. If Starbucks can con this many idiots into buying millions of $5.00 cups of coffee, then surely there will be plenty of idiots to line up and pay double the retail price for breakfast cereal, which is grossly and inexplicably overpriced to begin with.

i think half of my mcmaster meal plan went towards cereal purchases my first year there. not sure if i would ever go out to eat cereal though. maybe if we got one here i would give it a try
