The deep downunder south -

I seem to remember highway girl asking for some pictures from my trip down to Australia and New Zealand. So here are a few from my whirlwind tour in two weeks. I didn't have a lot of time to hang around, but I managed to get out and see a few different things.
Typical tourist shots around Sydney:
Jenolan caves:
Manly Beach:
Great spot for a Tooheys Old:

And here's a few from the New Zealand portion of the trip. All from around the South Island.
beautiful scenery everywhere there:
crazy fence with bras all over it between Wanaka and Queenstown:
cool tree:
Franz Josef Glacier:
It's too bad the weather didn't cooperate while I was there. The photos do this place no justice, it's absolutely stunning.

AS a photographer by habit myself, I stand humbled by those pictures!
Australia looks absolutely beautiful and if you're saying that those pictures don't do it justice then WOW!!!!, must be spectacular!

Nah, I don't think they're anything too special. Most are just point and shoot type shots. The camera's a nice little 5MP cybershot which is handy for carrying around, but it's not the best for zoom and other things.
Really though, those shots in New Zealand do it no justice at all, the lighting wasn't great for pictures at all. New Zealand is amazing, I'll be back there for sure. The next time I'll be going during their ski season though, those mountains looked sooooo teampting.
Thanks for the comments though.

Great pics Sherpa!
I would love to go there someday.
Maybe I can meet Paul Hogan and show him what a knife is (kidding).

haha, actually if you go, head up to Byron Bay and go to the Hotel that's right across from the beach on the main road. I had lunch there when I was there 5 years ago. Hogan owns the hotel, maybe you'll run into him there.
I was hoping to see the Croc hunter there to hear him say Crikey! in person but he wasn't at his zoo that day so no luck there.

Your pictures are good, but the second one is exceptional. The clouds really give some background texture, and the angle is just perfect. Whether you think it special or not, from a composition standpoint, it's very will done!
I think the most stunning aspect of those pics is the colour of every bit of water - the ocean, the waterfall, etc - every water shot is brilliant.
