Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Eh? - chris - 11-16-2004

Jay & Silent Bob will be starring in three episodes of Degrassi: The Next Generation!

In the fictional film, the slacker duo come to Toronto because they need to get a high school diploma and no school in America will take them.

I've been hooked on Degrassi since the original series; does anyone else watch the new one?

Either way, these three episodes should be worth a watch for any Jay & Silent Bob fans.

Clerks was an awesome movie. Mallrats had its moments. Dogma was funny and I actually bought J&SB Strike Back....
but I'm not gonna watch Degrassi just for them... I couldn't even stand the original series...

caitlin bree from the movie clerks was named after caitlin from degrassi. apparently kevin smith used to be a huge degrassi fan and wanted to pay tribute to the show.

He still is a huge fan. If I recall correctly, in Mall Rats, the school jackets that some kids at the mall wore were Degrassi as well. I also read that he purchased all of the original recordings of the original series. :thumb:

i highly recommend watching an evening with kevin smith dvd,

on a related kevin smith note, he is coming back to toronto tomorrow at roy thompson hall to film his second dvd, an evening with kevin smith 2:evening harder,
