just wondering what "rockin" hip tune you would love to hear stripped down and played accousticly...for me it would have to be Trickle Down..i think it would sound so friggin' great Unplugged...johnny with the snare drum, the 2 accoustics, and a standup base!!

It might just be the IBE kick that I've been on, but I'd love to hear a stripped down version of Gus. I think it would be an interesting reworking. The slow jam feeling of it + some acousitc stylings would be pretty cool to hear.

Unplugged would basically be "calmed down"... I can't exactly think of a song that kicks out (like Music@Work or Poets) that would sound good "calmed down"... I can only think of "calm songs calmed further"... lol.

My vote'll go for You're Everywhere with lots of picking, pull-offs and slides.

The Sausalito unplugged version of "Membership" is so fantastic that I'd love to hear another mid-tempo post-PP tune stripped down. Maybe Fever or Leave...

remember when Lake Fever made it's first appearance at the New Years Day 2000 show and it was all stripped down like a cross between Wheat Kings and Fiddler's Green and it was going to be the jewel of the new album (which turned out to be the just-less-than-precious-gem called MAW) ...

I'd like them to play Lake Fever like that again.

I totally agree.
I think the album version should have been acoustic. This should have been a a part of the Hip "campfire collection" along with Wheat Kings and ABAC. Not sure where it fits now.

The idea mentioned earlier of Nautical Disaster being done accoustic would be phenomenal. As for others, I think Trickle Down, Looking For A Place To Happen, and Something On would be great. As an aside, you wouldn't think Neil Young's Rockin' In The Free World would be good unplugged, but it is almost better than the original!!
