Pot the Question - Douglas - 11-12-2004

So I finally got a date. I am meeting this girl and we are going to the Sadies show on Saturday night along with 4 or 5 of my friends. Now, we all enjoy a few "lefties" before concerts. I think I dig this girl but have no idea how she will react to reefer. Is the first date too soon to whip out the cheeba? Any advice?

have your friends offer it to her first and see what she says. If she crosses her self and says the hail mary it wasn't ment to be.

My thoughts... If you can't lay off the weed for a first date, are you worth a second date? Starting your post with, "So I finally got a date" implies that you don't go out on that many, so why trash this opportunity before if gets off the ground? (Or if pot smoking is who you are, let her know right away, and save both of you an uncomfortable situation down the line.)

Ask her before the date if she smokes the wacky tabbacky. If she says "yes" then it's on like a chocolate ding-dong.

If she says "no," first: ask if she wants to give it a try, and if she says no again, then respect that and smoke with your buddies anyway.

Are you going to quit the Hippie Lettuce if this girl asks... I didn't think so. So you might as well be the real you from date #1.

That doesnt sound like a good plan to me, its like getting drunk on a first date, major faux pas! Maybe its just me, but I prefer the company of a nice woman rather than getting stoned, but if you really like weed than bring it up at a later time and see if she's down with it, if she doesnt like it but still wants to be with you then hey, you win! If not, find a girl who does. Always be yourself is my advice to anyone :wink:

I had never heard it either, until Stephen posted it in a thread about Gord running for PM of Hipbase. (This is still one of my favorite topics at HB).
